The skin is the largest human organ because it covers our entire body. It also serves as an insulator to protect the rest of the organs. For that reason his role is very important. And for this reason, it is essential to maintain a healthy skin. In addition, almost always, a healthy skin will also be a beautiful skin.

The skin of teenagers

During adolescence the skin is subject, like the rest of the body of boys and girls to great changes.

In the case of the skin, in addition the puberty and its hormonal stir provoke some alterations that can be annoying or that can cause insecurity in the adolescents. And that is one more reason to take care of her.

If we add that boys and girls at this age are not usually very responsible or careful we can find that their skin is not as good as it could be. Therefore it is important that we explain to adolescents the importance of taking care of their skin. That way they will look healthy and beautiful.

The most important aspect to make the skin look good and healthy is to maintain a proper daily hygiene routine.

Daily hygiene

To have healthy skin, it must be clean. And to be clean it is advisable to shower or bathe daily. Even if you practice sports or live in a place where it is very hot or there is high humidity, two showers a day can be a good idea.

If the skin does not have any problem it is advisable to use mild and neutral soaps and shampoos. And teenagers should remember that it is not necessary to abuse them. A soap nut in the sponge or hand is usually enough to cleanse the body. Another advice to keep the skin in good condition is the use of warm water instead of very hot water.

The skin of the face

The skin of the teenagers' face almost always requires some more care. The reason is that very often teenagers have acne, especially on the face, and also blackheads or pimples. All this due to excess fat caused by hormonal production during puberty.

But acne and pimples do not have to be a drama if you take care of your skin with rigor. As in the rest of the body, also the skin of the face must be clean.

Washing:
It is advisable to wash your face with warm water twice a day. If it is done more times, it can provoke an excess of seborrhea that could worsen acne or blackheads. In these washes it is useful to use a soap, also neutral and soft and that is also "non-comedogenic". This means that it does not contain products that can clog the pores causing a worsening of acne or pimples.

Toning:
After washing it is good for the face to apply a tonic. It is true that girls do it frequently and boys find it much more difficult but the application of a tonic on the face can help both girls and boys to keep their skin healthy and clean. It is very important that if the adolescents use tonic for the face, it does not contain alcohol.

Hydrate:
After the tonic apply a moisturizer to the face is also a good routine. As in the case of soap, it is convenient that the hydrating cream or lotion be "non-comedogenic".

Do not touch It is important not to touch your face, especially in the case of teenagers who have acne. When touched, acne or black spots can get worse because we carry bacteria in our hands to the skin of our face. The same goes for hair, which usually has more fat than the face and if it is worn on the face it can leave part of that fat on it so it is a good idea to do without fringes or to keep the hair collected as long as possible during the day.

Cleaning at all
It is also advisable not to put in contact with the face objects, such as the cell phone, which can accumulate bacteria or fat. And for those who wear glasses, they should frequently clean the areas of these that touch the skin to eliminate the fat they accumulate.

Other areas of the body

It is important to pay attention to other areas of the skin during adolescence. For example to the scalp since in that age the appearance of dandruff is frequent. And the same happens with the feet where fungi can appear. To avoid these it is very important not to walk barefoot in common sports areas and to dry the skin very well after bathing or showering.

Sun

The sun can be very harmful to the skin so you have to always protect it from it. Also teenagers should use sun creams with protection above 15 without excuses. That way they will have a healthy and more beautiful skin.
